Organisations - overview
The Organisations section in WikiWaste brings together different categories of organisation delivering waste collection and treatment services (and the industry organisations that represent them), government and non-government organisations (setting and influencing policy), and the key regulatory bodies.
Organisations content provides a reference across the platform for the main ‘players’ in the market, with the Local Authority category providing in depth reporting of each local authority delivering waste collection and treatment services (either directly or through third parties), their key tonnages and what site facilities those tonnages go to.

Categories
WikiWaste groups into six categories the main ‘players’ for ease of reference and to allow cross reference to the facilities and waste they manage, control or regulate

Purpose
The organisations are grouped in a way that allows ease of reference to the main ‘players’ in the market. The local authorities category links to a complete list of all authorities summarising their key tonnages and performance.
Connections
The Organisations section is key in being able to reference the operators (and/or their subsidiaries) for facilities listed in the infrastructure section. Links to the market approaches section brings together other key cross-referencing opportunities (for example local authority Key Metrics and Collection Systems).
